Welcome, Welcome

Welcome to Musings of Normal Christian Guys. This is a little experiment that I conceived a couple of months ago. I wanted to have a place where some regular Christian men could share things that are on their hearts. I asked about 10 men if they were interested in joining me on this journey. About half of the men said they would be on board and want to contribute. A couple did not have the time and a couple weren’t sure it was the right fit for them. Nevertheless, you have the authors of the blog described in some form on the right.

The purpose of this blog is really two-fold. First of all, it is a way that men can hear what other men are thinking. Men have a funny way of keeping a lot of stuff bottled up inside. Now let me say that I do not mean that in a bad way. Many times men need to bear the burden of being a rock for their family. This means that at times everyone else gets to vent while the man gets to be strong. Other times men have opinions about something, but for one reason or another, they do not feel that it is their place to share. Hopefully this blog will be a place where one man can see that he has been asking similar questions or going through similar circumstances and find how other men have handled the situation

Secondly, this is a great place for women to understand a little about what makes a man tick. It is a place where women can see what a man thinks about and what gets his blood boiling. This may also be a place where women can see that a man has deep thoughts from time to time (although these times are few and far between!!). I hope that women reading this will be encouraged to understand their spouses, brothers, fathers and sons a little better.

All in all, this blog is a place for us to draw nearer to Christ. This is a place where we want to glorify God. This is a place where we want to be real with our Savior and our readers. We want people who read this to be inspired to think, read, talk, and listen in a manner that is pleasing to the Lord. The authors of this blog do not pretend to have all of the answers and will probably get some things wrong from time to time. Please be gracious in your comments. The authors also come from a variety of Christian backgrounds and this will hopefully inspire you to walk deeper with the Lord in a way you may not have thought of previously.
